70 reflective with 25 light transmission on a grey substrate acrylic two way mirror is reflective from both sides of the substrate. For better light transmission through the glass we recommend our vanityvision smart mirror. It has 30 light transmission where that of a standard two way mirror has only 11 light transmission. The perception of one way transmission is achieved when one side of the mirror is brightly lit and the other side is dark. Two way mirrors allow only 30 of light to pass through them. Not for use with high humidity or contact with water. When illuminated the side with the light source will be reflective and the opposite darkened side will be transparent.

Pilkington mirropane is an on line coated glass developed for use as a one way mirror where clear vision is required and specific lighting conditions can be achieved. Traditionally mirrors are made of clear glass that has a coating of silver aluminum or tin on one side. If installed backwards the coated side on the back it can cheat the fingernail test looking like the reflection of a standard mirror.
